‘Aftermath of Olivia’ explores the impact of British storms on the Cornish coastline, particularly Rock Beach on the east side of the Camel Estuary. This area has undergone huge changes during my lifetime. Where the dunes used to meet the sand gently, the cliff face now stands jagged as the sand has eroded into the Doom Bar.

These are my findings after the storm Olivia hit and battered the area in April 2024, causing floods of waste and natural debris to litter the beach.

As climate change worsens, the coastline is increasingly affected by extreme weather conditions, leading to greater erosion and plastic pollution.
